Dimly — Screen Brightness

TripleEdge Studio operates the mobile application Dimly — Screen Brightness (home-screen name: Dimly; package name: com.tripleedgestudio.dimly). This policy explains what the app accesses, how it is used, and your choices.

1. Summary

• No account is required. We do not sell your personal information.
• Brightness settings, schedules, curves, and preferences stay on your device.
• Dimly controls screen brightness, overlays, and eye-comfort features locally on your phone.
• Free users may see ads (Google AdMob mediation with Unity Ads and InMobi). Pro removes ads.
• Where required, we show a Google UMP consent form before personalized ads.

2. What the App Does

• System brightness control, extra dim overlay, and blue-light filter
• Brightness lock, floating slider, and sunlight boost
• Auto-brightness curves, schedules, and per-app profiles
• Anti-flicker eye comfort and OEM battery guidance
• A persistent foreground notification to keep dimming active in the background

3. Information Stored on Your Device

• Your brightness level, dim/filter settings, automation curves, and schedules
• Per-app brightness profiles and UI preferences
• Onboarding and permission state

This data stays on your device unless you clear app data or uninstall.

4. Permissions

Dimly may request Android permissions to function:

• Modify system settings — set and lock brightness
• Display over other apps — dim overlay, filter, and floating slider
• Notifications — persistent control notification and optional daily reminder
• Coarse location — optional, for solar sunset/sunrise schedules (not precise GPS tracking)
• Usage access — optional, for per-app brightness profiles
• Exact alarms — schedule automation at specific times

Dimly does not use the camera or microphone.

5. Network Use

The app may use the internet to:

• Load advertisements through Google AdMob mediation (partners such as InMobi and Unity Ads)
• Process optional in-app purchases through Google Play
• Send anonymous analytics and crash reports (Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics)
• Open the Play Store listing, privacy policy, or support pages when you choose those actions

6. Advertising, Consent & Advertising ID

If you are not a Pro user, the app may use Google AdMob and its mediation partners, including InMobi and Unity Ads, with Unity Ads as a client-side fallback when no fill is returned.

These services may collect advertising identifiers, approximate location (derived from IP), device information, and interaction data to show ads and measure performance, subject to your consent choices where required.

Where required, we use Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). You can also limit ad personalization in Android Settings → Google → Ads.

7. In-App Purchases

The app offers a one-time Pro product (dimly_pro) through Google Play Billing. Pro removes ads and unlocks premium features. Google processes payment; we do not store your card or bank details.

8. Analytics & Crash Reporting

Dimly uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics for anonymous events and crash stacks. These services do not receive your brightness settings or automation configuration.

9. Information We Do Not Collect

• Name, email, or phone for an account (unless you email us for support)
• Camera or microphone data
• Precise GPS location
• Contacts, SMS, call logs, or calendar

10. Children's Privacy

Dimly is a utility app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Data Retention and Deletion

• Local data remains until you clear app data or uninstall.
• Support emails are kept only as long as needed to respond.

To remove all app data: Android Settings → Apps → Dimly → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the app.

13. Changes

We may update this policy and will change the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
